Everything is so Pleasant
Today marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the first and only 60-minute music cassette by Strength through Joy,
featuring such sardonic hits as This is the Liquid Age, Something,
No Relief, If I Were Happy, Violence is the Key and so on.
Russ, Mark and I remain friends to this day.
(The above poster was produced using Letraset type,
photocopies, glue and scissors.)
Our logotype was made by enlarging rubber stamped letters
on a photocopier to give them the warbly distressed edge.
The base photograph of us was taken by Marcus Bastida
at our first show on August 27, 1983 at The Metropolis.
